Future Anecdotes is a graphic design studio based in London, with close professional links to Athens and Istanbul.
The studio was founded by Mary Ikoniadou and Asli Kalinoglu in 2009, a collaboration that started during their MA at Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2007.
Future Anecdotes work closely with artists, architects, curators, publishers and cultural institutions. Recent projects include the identity for Open City at Art Depo Sanat Galerisi Istanbul, exhibition catalogues for Chelsea College of Art and Design, a symposium and a poster installation for the European Alternatives and promotional material for the Artist’s Space New York.
Enjoying exercising authorship alongside their practice, self-initiated artist’s multiples and books by Asli and Mary are held in the artists book collection at Chelsea College of Arts and have been exhibited in the Courtauld Institute. The partners also co-publish the independent periodical Making Do and have given lectures and workshops at Chelsea College of Art and Design, LCC and UCA Epsom. Mary is from Greece. Asli is from Turkey.
